Vectorized correlation between a variable and brain imaging data.

For most scenarios, the user does not need to call this function directly. Instead call bstr_corr() which calls this function internally.

matrix of dimensions (\(N x T\)), where \(N\) = number of subjects and \(T\) = number of vertices/voxels.

vector of length \(N\).
