UCLA Advanced Neuroimaging Summer Program
Welcome NITP Participants!
We are pleased to be presenting BrainSuite at this year’s the UCLA Advanced Neuroimaging Summer Program.
In addition to the lecture and lab session, we are also available to assist you with any questions you may have regarding installing the software or using it for your research. Please e-mail support@brainsuite.org with any questions or if you would like to meet with us in person (please specify in the email that you are here for the summer program). We are located on the UCLA Campus in NRB225, which is in the same building as Monday’s keynote lecture.
Tips on Importing Data into BrainSuite
Some of you had questions about importing data from other software into BrainSuite. We have created a label description file based on the FreeSurfer labels (5.3.0, FreeSurferColorLUT.txt). You can download the file here: brainsuite_FreeSurferColorLUT_labeldescription.xml. To load this file into BrainSuite, go to the menu item File -> Open -> Label Description File.
If you have any other questions about importing other types of data, please find or e-mail David Shattuck (dshattuck@ucla.edu).

Software Download and Installation — updated!!!
Please note that we released a new version of BrainSuite, version 14b, with updates to all three components. Please download that version for the lab.
After filling out a simple registration form (https://brainsuite.org/register/), the software can be downloaded from brainsuite.org/download/. Installation instructions are provided here.
Please note that once BrainSuite14b has been installed, the svreg and bdp folders must be moved manually to the BrainSuite14b folder in your home directory or custom installation directory.
We have also recently released the BrainSuite statistical toolbox, available here: https://brainsuite.org/bss/. Sample data for testing the BSS tool can be downloaded here (~1GB).
